The Fort Worth Zoo is already known as one of the best in the world, but somehow this week it got even better. That’s because the zoo opened their new Predators of Asia and Africa exhibit to the public. The new exhibit marks the return of the zoo’s lion pride, along with the addition of a couple new species.

Since November 2020, Fort Worth Zoo guests haven’t been able to see the lions, along with a number of other animals, and it’s not because they were hiding. The animals were on vacation at the Abilene Zoo while their habitat was under renovation. Now, that habitat is back open, as on Thursday the zoo launched the new Predators of Asia and Africa exhibit, which features lush greenery and wide-open spaces for a variety of animals.

According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, the zoo also has two new species that have never been on display there before, the clouded leopard and the African leopard. This new exhibit is part of the zoo’s “A Wilder Vision,” $130 million capital campaign. Thanks to this campaign, one of the best zoos in the world is only going to get better.
